Tripod has a conversion kit available for selected dealers throughout the World.

The advantages of the Tripod conversion kit are:

• Tripod develops the modification of the floor bearing in mind the needs of the wheelchair user.
• We know that the average height of a wheelchair user is between 130 - 135 cm. This means that we try to lay the new floor part as deep as possible, allowing the wheelchair user a panoramic view while at the same time keeping the inclination of the rear floor at a minimum.
• As a consequence we always install a new fuel tank, this in contrast to most of our competitors.
• During development of the conversion we provide the possibility to mount two chairs in the second row. Which provides for the wheelchair user that he/she can sit between his fellow passengers.
• If our NIVO-System is mounted the original shock absorbers are replaced by hydraulic cylinders with a damping function. For this system we have to install a pump unit in the car but there is no need for additional cylinder brackets. This option creates more space in the car.
• With the new types of cars we have also addressed the problems of exhaust fumes and noise entering the rear of the vehicle. This problem has been solved by extending the tailgate and providing this with a rubber seal, which ensures complete closure of the vehicle.
• For each model we dispose of test reports which can be sent to you if desired.
