Taxi Transportation

For individual taxi transportation, Tripod Mobility has developed two suitable models, the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi and the Ford Tourneo Connect LWB. Both of which have lowered floors. All vehicles, which have been fitted with lowered floors by Tripod, meet the European type requirements and safety regulations.

Ford

In the Ford the interior height is 161cm. Furthermore the back seat can be put upright when transporting a wheelchair passenger. There is also the option of leaving one seat of the seating down so that there is space for an extra person, 3 + 1.

Volkswagen

The Volkswagen has a lowered floor which is stretched to the second row of seating, this way there are always 5+1 seating places available. The length of the lowered floor is 150cm, which is possible through the adjustment of the gas tank. The bench on the third row can be replaced after the conversion making the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi has a total seating capacity of seven people.

The other options for the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi are

• FlatFloor, a complete flat lowered floor
• Eco Fuel (combined natural gas) a unique Tripod conversion. Two of the ecofuel tanks are placed inside the vehicle on the left and right side of the lowered floor. The total driving capacity with combined natural gas is around 300km
